About us
Located in Madison, Wisconsin with additional offices in Athens, Greece and Sofia, Bulgaria, we are a data-driven marketing and e-commerce technology company. Our team consists of e-commerce and direct marketing veterans and data scientists with decades of experience working inside companies to help them understand their data and answer key questions about their customer behavior. We believe in the power of big data, real-time analytics, machine learning, and neural networks to empower and inform business strategies and decisions. Unlike other vendors, we are operators who also eat our own cooking. In addition to providing its services to outside clients, SabinoDB is the in-house agency for our own brands in the apparel, moving, and healthcare services businesses.

Bill Bass
CO-FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN
Bill has enjoyed a long career in direct marketing and ecommerce. Prior to founding SabinoDB, he served as co-President and Chief Marketing Officer for Orchard Brands, a $1 billion collection of catalog companies; president of Charming Shoppes (Lane Bryant) Direct; general manager of Sears Direct; senior vice president of Lands’ End; group research director at Forrester Research; and was a co-founder of Boston.com, the Boston Globe’s internet company. He also co-founded Fair Indigo, a direct to consumer apparel brand, and Black Wolf Group which includes local moving companies and home healthcare businesses. Bill has served on the board of directors of both the Data and Marketing Association (formerly the Direct Marketing Association) and Shop.org (the ecommerce arm of the National Retail Federation). He also served on the board of directors of Tractor Supply Company and Essendant. Before his business career, Bill was an Army paratrooper and helicopter gunship instructor pilot. He received a B.A. from Princeton University, an M.B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University, and an M.S. in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.

Ryan Hammon
PRESIDENT
Prior to joining SabinoDB, Ryan spent 14 years in private equity, investment banking, and management consulting. Ryan has worked with public and private companies in e-commerce, consumer goods and services, sports and entertainment, retail, manufacturing, and business services. Ryan has served on the board of directors of Territory Ahead, an online and catalog apparel company, iMarketing, a direct marketing company, AWE Learning, a digital education company, and Creative Media Group, a web development and data management company. Ryan received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors, and his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California Polytechnic State University, where he graduated cum laude. In addition, Ryan is a CFA charterholder.

Mark Sorkin
CO-FOUNDER & VP OF DATA SCIENCES
Mark’s specialty is web analytics, digital and direct marketing, and developing and managing multichannel customer databases. Mark has served as the Director of Online Marketing and Analytics for Orchard Brands; AVP for Digital Marketing and Web Analytics at Ascena Retail Group; Director of Online Marketing, Analytics and Usability for Charming Shoppes; Director of Database Marketing and Web Analytics for Quill (a division of Staples); and the Manager of Multichannel Analytics for Sears. Mark has a passion for Web analytics and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including the Adobe Marketing Summit, Etail, and Shop.org. Mark is Six Sigma certified and holds degrees in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Programming and Mathematics from the University of Illinois and Roosevelt University.

Spiros Paraskevas
VP OF PRODUCT, AI & MACHINE LEARNING
Spiros specializes in artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, and big data. He is passionate about applying data science and technology to business challenges and creating innovative e-commerce and technology solutions. Spiros has experience in the retail, e-commerce, apparel and fashion, fintech, insurtech, and biotech industries. Prior to SabinoDB, Spiros was the Head of Research & Development for the Hellenic Air Force. Spiros is also a visiting lecturer in Data Science at the Applied Mathematics School at the National Technical University of Athens Greece. He received an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and Data Science and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Athens Greece and Dublin Ireland.

VP OF DIGITAL MARKETING
Stan has worked in digital advertising for 16 years. Stan specializes in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Ads, and Amazon Ads. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Griffith College Dublin.

George Kyritsis
SENIOR MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER
George is a machine learning engineer with SabnoDB in Athens, Greece. George is passionate about machine learning and has 7+ years experience in predictive modeling and data mining. George has worked in implementing AI-integrated solutions across multiple industries including retail, e-commerce, and finance. Having also worked on end-to-end deep learning pipelines, George has experience in building software systems around computer vision and natural language processing. Mr.Kyritsis earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science with a minor in Financial Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne.

Richie Preciado
SENIOR ANALYST & OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Richie has worked in most areas of digital sales. Before coming to SabinoDB, Richie worked as a Sr. Digital Marketing Analyst for Orchard Brands where he led 6 diverse teams through user experience, personalization and segmentation; supported a universal cart for 13 brands; focused on SEO and SEM strategies. Richie has shared his expertise of user experience and A/B testing as a speaker at vendor summits. Prior to moving to digital Richie worked as catalog circulation analyst, working on segmentation, promotions and testing.
